Proverbs 18:21 - “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
There was a season when I didn’t realise how deeply my words affected my child. One morning, in frustration, I said, “Why are you always so difficult?” I saw their face fall—and it stayed with me all day. That moment convinced me. My words were shaping identity, not just behaviour.
This verse reminds us that words are not neutral; they produce fruit. Over time, what we speak becomes what grows.
Reflection:
What fruit are your words producing in your child’s life?
