OPEN CALL - FICTION COACHES
You know anyone who may be down? (and skilled, for real?)
It's Anthony here.
I have this vision. Imagine a place where Writers can ACTUALLY learn to write Fiction.
Copywriting (or, as Nic Cole calls it, Ghostwriting) has SOOOO MANY incredible books, and instructors, and video courses out there. Courses that teach mindset, of course, but also tactics, and different styles in concrete ways, and word choices, and... and everything.
In Fiction, we just get a copy of SAVE THE CAT (good, but flat) and Robert McKee's STORY (the vaguest book on fiction in the world), and they give us a boot that's stamped "Good luck" on the bottom.
There's a better way.
And that better way is you.
One day, I dream that there will be all these different coaches in Story Gym, that teach different styles of Fiction. And (just like with personal trainers) you'll say, "If I'm gonna drop 20 grand on a coach, I wanna be able to choose the perfect coach for me and my style."
I'm a Fantasy Poet (think Lord of the Rings, Zelda, Name of the Wind) and currently that's the only course that I'm building. And it is VERY under construction, because my focus is actually going toward writing my 32 book series.
But!
I'm looking for coaches.
Fantasy Poet is gonna be free, but you're welcome to charge. You keep all the profits, at least as of writing this (2025 July). Someday, I reserve the right to charge a fee, but I'll never hold your work hostage - what you make is yours, and I'm just excited for there to be a platform that specifically serves Fiction authors!
