💭Some Moments Change Your Direction
When I was 17, during the Hay River fire in August 2023, me, my girlfriend, and her family ended up driving through the fire trying to get out.
It was one of the craziest and scariest moments of my life.
Seeing how fast everything can change does something to you.
It makes you think different.
It makes fear feel different.
It makes excuses feel smaller.
It makes you appreciate life more.
Now I’m turning 19 this year, looking into wildland firefighting, and building my business Ben’s Helping Hands.
Life is wild like that.
Some moments shake you. Some moments shape you.
That experience is part of why I want to keep growing, keep building, and do something bigger with my life.
