He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
By his wounds you have been healed.
"He himself bore our sins in his body" means Jesus took our exact punishment as a substitute, paying the complete price for our wrongdoing.
The Tree: "On the tree" refers to the wooden cross where Jesus was crucified.
Dying to Sin: "That we might die to sin" means the controlling power of sin is broken; believers are no longer enslaved to a sinful lifestyle.
Living to Righteousness: "Live to righteousness" means believers are empowered to honor God and pursue good choices through the Holy Spirit.🙏💯❤️
