ADHD Hack #1: Store Things Where You Use Them
If you always drop something in the same place, that is where it belongs. Move the container, not your behaviour.
For example, I always had a laundry basket at the top of the stairs, central to everyone's bedrooms but no-one ever used it. Most of the dirty clothes ended up on the bathroom floor so I moved the hamper to the bathroom.
My bedroom floor was also a gathering point so I added an additional hamper at the bottom of the bed. No more running around picking up dirty clothes. They congregate where they always did, but now inside a container!
Think of something around your home that you are always clearing up - can the stuff actually just belong there but in a neater container?
