Last night’s message, The War on Identity, was a reminder that one of the greatest battles believers face is not over doctrine, worship, or tradition, but over knowing who God says they are. The enemy has always attacked identity because he knows that when identity is unclear, purpose becomes confusing and fear begins to take control. Through the lives of Jehu, Amos, Gideon, Paul, and ultimately Jesus, we see that God often speaks to who we are becoming before we ever see it ourselves. Identity is not found in our past, our failures, our wounds, or even our titles. It is found in the One who created us. The closer we get to Him, the clearer we become, and the clearer our calling becomes. When you truly find Him, you finally discover who you are.
