Twitter has just announced they're reverting to the original 140-character limit, citing "overwhelming user nostalgia" and "platform identity concerns."
The change rolls out at midnight. Premium Blue subscribers will maintain 280 characters, while free users must return to the classic constraint.
"Brevity is the soul of Twitter," said the platform's spokesperson. "Our data shows shorter posts receive 43% more engagement."
