As the year quickly draws to a close, I want to pause a moment and be intentional with gratitude and offer praise for all that God is doing and for His faithfulness this past year. I don't know about you, but after the holidays, I find myself quickly de-decorating, cleaning, and organizing, anticipating the start of a new year. I just love the idea of a clean slate... a fresh start, anyone else?!
Before we jump ahead, let's pause to look back with a lens of gratitude and heart posture of praise. May we be reminded that God is faithful! Even when we can't see it and even when we don't feel it, He is working! God sees you. Through the good days, the hard times, and every single moment we fall short and miss the mark. God loves you. You are covered by His GRACE.
I used to struggle with shame and guilt and looking back was where the enemy kept me for too long. There is a healthy way to look back and reflect, so as you look back on the year, be sure to give God the glory and praise for all the answered prayers and for His blessings, remembering that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. If this is really challenging for you, begin by praising God for who He is and then silence the voice of the enemy by coming out of agreement with any spirit of guilt, anxiety or condemnation. You are a daughter of the Most High God. When you speak this aloud knowing your true identity in Christ, darkness has to flee, in the matchless and powerful name of Jesus.
We don't need a new year to know that His mercies are new every morning! Every day is a chance to grow closer to Him and walk in your true identity, purpose and calling! He has began a work in you and is refining you into His masterpiece. I truly believe He has designed each one of us with a purpose for the Kingdom and if we seek Him first and all of His righteousness, and abide, He will direct our steps. All He wants is our hearts and for us to fully trust Him and then He can do the rest!
A few reminders on my heart today-
#1 SLOW DOWN... don't miss it!
He is in the stillness of a moment. He is speaking all around us, we just have to be looking for Him and listening.
#Don't get distracted. My spirit continues to warn me of the dangers of being distracted in this hour.
Even good things can be pulling us away from our Creator and what He has for us.
The new jubilee year has already begun. We are actually already living in the newness of what God is doing! How exciting is that?!
As we keep our eyes fixed on Him, He continues to reveal Himself more and more, and we can see His hand in every detail of our lives! He is sovereign! He is on the throne and He has conquered sin, death, hell, and the grave so we can overcome whatever we face because we have the victory in Christ.
Blessings to you and your loved ones. Praying for you my sisters. Xo
