The basics of homeschooling a nuerodivergent child
1. Understand Your Child’s Needs
Before anything else, spend time observing how your child learns best:
Sensory profile: Do they need quiet, movement breaks, or sensory tools (fidgets, weighted blankets, etc.)?
Processing style: Visual (pictures, videos), auditory (stories, songs), or hands-on (experiments, crafts)?
Regulation needs: Do they need structure or flexibility? Predictability or freedom to
explore?
