At least that's what its' felt like this week and why I haven't been keeping up with my posting! This week has flown by as my husband and I prepare for the local homeschool convention.
There are a lot of moving parts in our lives at the moment and trying to prioritize has been quite the task. Our co-op has not yet finished for the summer, we have some career shifting for both myself and my husband that we're trying to navigate, and we'll be speaking at this upcoming convention on navigating homeschool life while investing and prioritizing your marriage. That is our primary focus this coming week, but we've also been asked to speak on a panel for the Black Outreach reception. As the homeschooling community is beginning to grow in the Black and Brown communities, this convention is hosting outreach programs to help these families get connected and gain support and encouragement.
As far as my last post, I asked what you all wanted to see and you answered! I'll begin to fill you in on this journey piece by piece. Sometimes it feels as if this dream started 84 years ago as well ๐ฉโ๐ฆณ. In reality, it was only about a year and a half ago. But the way that it has been pressing on my heart makes me think about it day and night. Imagine waking up from a dream and seeing a vision so clearly, it was as if you were standing in that very place. That's what happened to me. I envisioned myself walking through the physical space of Home Sweet Homeschool RVA. I could see the families, hear the murmur of voices, feel the warmth of the community. I jolted awake and could feel the presence of the Lord, allowing me to see this vision and know that His hand is the on this space.
As I continue to build relationships, learn what it takes to find and design the space, and how to write grants and get financing, I'll take you all along for the journey. I'll throw in some personal stories of how I got here and some homeschool tips along the way. Let's go on this adventure to build Home Sweet Homeschool RVA together, a place where all homeschool families can gather together to connect, learn and grow.
Bonus points if you know what movie that quote is from! ๐ข
