“An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.”
Reflection:
This moment reminds us that God often breaks into ordinary life in extraordinary ways. The shepherds were simply doing their nightly work when heaven suddenly touched earth. Their fear is human—God’s glory can feel overwhelming—but it also shows how powerful His presence is. Even in our routine days, God can reveal Himself, bringing light into darkness and calling us to pay attention. When God shows up, fear may come first, but it often opens the door to joy, hope, and a deeper encounter with Him.
