How is the Week Holding Your Writing?
Do you cozy up on weekends to get words down?
Do you have a routine—or is it more fits and starts?
I’m always so curious how other writers write.
Here’s how my writing hums along the sidelines all the time.
Ideas spark while I’m driving. Sentences assemble themselves while I’m sorting out tech, walking, or trying to fall asleep. The writing never really clocks out.
This week, I wrote something that took more out of me than I expected. It landed right after we taped the podcast, and it slowed me down for a couple of days.
The rest of the week has been full in good ways: a conversation with a fellow podcaster about the technical side of things, continuing education I need to finish, and family projects that are quietly joyful.
So I do what I often do.
I’m here for the wee hours.
I write before anyone else is awake.
How does the writing make its way into your days?
