Freedom begins with Forgiveness
Some prayers are not about asking the universe for a miracle. Sometimes they’re about admitting, with a little grace and a lot of honesty, that we’ve all been emotionally doing “best effort” with outdated software. Ho’oponopono is a beautiful reminder that healing can begin with four simple phrases: ☯️I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. ☯️ It’s wisdom wrapped in humility, and humility wrapped in the kind of truth that gently humbles the ego without starting a fight with it. There’s something deeply human about this prayer: it doesn’t pretend we’re perfect, it doesn’t demand instant enlightenment, and it doesn’t require a dramatic soundtrack. It simply says: yes, I’ve carried things; yes, I can release them; and yes, I can still choose love, peace, and freedom today. A good reminder for all of us: the soul is patient, the heart is brave, and the ego is usually just trying to run the meeting. Universal Ho’oponopono Prayer for All Beliefs To the Divine energy within me, To the part of me that holds all love, wisdom, and healing, ☯️I’m sorry. For the unconscious thoughts, beliefs, and patterns I’ve carried... knowingly or unknowingly. For the pain I’ve contributed to myself and others. ☯️Please forgive me. For every choice made in fear, lack, or ego. For every time I didn’t know better. For all that I inherited, absorbed, or passed on. ☯️Thank you. For this awareness. For the chance to grow, release, and begin again. For the hidden blessings in every lesson. ☯️I love you. To my body, my mind, my inner child, my ancestors, and life itself. I choose love now. I choose peace. I choose freedom.
