Collaboration Isn’t Exposure — It’s Trust (Ask Me How I Learned 😅)
I used to think collaboration was about reach.
Followers. Views. “Bro this will be great for exposure!” 🙃
Then I did a collab with someone who had way fewer followers than me…
and somehow I got more business from it.
I was confused. Like… math wasn’t mathing 🧮😂
What I realized later:
People didn’t trust me more — they trusted them already.
So when they said,
“Hey, this is my guy,”
that trust transferred instantly 🤝
No pitch. No convincing. No chasing.
That’s when it clicked:
Collaboration isn’t about attention.
It’s about borrowed belief.
Two aligned businesses with shared values will always outperform one “big” name with no chemistry.
That’s why I stopped chasing clout
and started chasing alignment 😌
