We Must Pivot
Happy Memorial Day ladies.🇺🇸
I'd like to talk about our ability to pivot. In Psalm 23 it says that God restores our souls and leads us on the path of righteousness. In order for that to happen we have to slow down, stop working so much FOR God and begin working WITH God. It's not a denial of reality but a conscious decision about where we're directing our focus and attention.
Our focus has a tremendous impact on our emotional state, decision-making, and ability to navigate challenging circumstances. Therefore, every morning from here on out will not feel like an invitation to obsess over the obstacles in front of us or the opportunities God is providing us to make a difference in the lives of others but we will open our eyes daily reciting Psalm 121: 1-2 "I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." All because "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Psalm 46:1-2
When we walk WITH GOD, our troubles are swallowed up by the sea because He either removes them or walks us through them and we always come out better.
