Sometimes life doesn’t just feel hard —
it feels like it’s fallen apart.
Plans collapse.
Things go wrong all at once.
What you hoped for disappears, and suddenly you’re left standing in the middle of something you never asked for.
In those moments, it’s natural to think:
“This is a disaster.”
And truthfully — it can feel like one.
But here’s something we don’t always hear when we’re in it:
not every breakdown is here to destroy you.
Some are here to reveal, redirect, or reshape you.
That doesn’t mean the pain is a lesson you should rush to learn.
It doesn’t mean you have to be positive.
It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.
It simply means that life sometimes teaches through experience, not explanation.
With time, space, and gentleness, some of the hardest moments become clearer:
• they show us what we can no longer carry
• they show us what truly matters
• they show us boundaries we didn’t know we needed
• they show us strength we didn’t know we had
The lesson isn’t always obvious while you’re hurting.
Sometimes the lesson is just survival.
Sometimes it’s rest.
Sometimes it’s learning that you’re allowed to ask for help.
Today’s HELPyoursELF reminder 💚
You are allowed to say “this feels like a complete disaster”
and still trust that it may not be the end of your story.
You don’t have to understand it yet.
You don’t have to make meaning of it today.
Just stay.
Just breathe.
The clarity comes later.
