Hey, loves. Happy Moon-day.
Today we call on a face of Hekate that doesn't get enough attention.
Hekate Einalia. She of the Sea.
Waning Crescent in Pisces. 32% illuminated. Thinning toward dark. The tide is pulling out โ and Einalia is asking you to look at what's underneath.
Most people know Hekate as the goddess of the crossroads on land. But there's a crossroads most people walk right past โ the shoreline. The place where the sea meets the land. Not quite earth. Not quite water. Liminal space in constant motion. Always arriving. Always retreating. Never fully one thing. That's Hekate's territory too.
Hesiod wrote that Zeus honored her with a share of the earth, the sky, and the sea. The Orphic Hymn names her Einalia directly. She doesn't just stand where three roads meet. She stands where three realms meet. And the shore is where you can feel it โ that threshold under your feet, shifting with every wave.
Hesiod didn't sugarcoat it: "To those whose business is in the grey discomfortable sea, and who pray to Hekate โ easily the glorious goddess gives great catch, and easily she takes it away."
She gives. And she takes. That's the sea. That's the shoreline. That's the waning crescent. That's right now.
The Deipnon is five days away. May 16. New Moon in Taurus. The ancient supper of Hekate. Sweeping clean. Offerings at the crossroads. Not looking back.
This Waning Crescent in Pisces is the approach. The water drawing back from the shore. And what the tide leaves behind is what you need to see.

"Easily the glorious goddess gives great catch, and easily she takes it away." โ Hesiod, Theogony
๐ The tide is pulling out. What is Einalia revealing on your shore? Drop it below. The sea doesn't judge. Neither do we.
En Erebos, Phos. In darkness, light.
