๐ Introducing the Ayah Lookup Challenge! ๐โจ
Many years ago, an 8-year-old student of mine, Mustafa, heard me say:
"The Quran has answers to all of our questions!"
He raised his hand and asked:
๐ง "Br. Mohannad, I have a concern: I only have sisters and no brothers. Does the Quran have an answer and a solution to my problem?"
I was silent. ๐ค It hit meโI had been teaching a slogan that I hadn't fully internalized myself. But later, I found the answer. Allah says:
๐น "ุฅููููู
ูุง ูฑููู
ูุคูู
ูููููู ุฅูุฎูููุฉู""The believers are but brothers to one another." (Quran 49:10)
If we, as a community, do our job right, Mustafa would never feel alone. He would always have brothers and mentors around him.
๐ก My Takeaway from that encounter: If we approach the Quran with questions, we will feel the connection between our world and Allahโs words. ๐โจ And when we need guidance the most, weโll remember and reflect on these Ayahs. This was the birth of the idea of the AyahLookup Challenge (we've been doing this 4 years straight during the month of Ramadan, alhamdulillah)
