We all know the story. The least likely to win somehow, digs deep to find the courage within to push through doubt, pain and against all odds to overcome his/ her challenge.

To overcome takes fortitude, focus and unwavering resolve.

When it comes to learning to write a song, learning an instrument or using your voice, the doubt creeps in at the first squeak of a bad sounding note.

You say to yourself, "I cant do this, I suck".

You think its the end when really its just the beginning.

Discovering your voice through music doesn't mean your perfect, it means you are willing to explore things that don't work and things that do at a very low cost of maybe not sounds so good sometimes.

Look what you gain from this freedom. The ability to play in a sound box of notes, chords, progressions and melodies without judgement. You have the freedom to sound bad to understand what sounding bad sounds like.

To be great, we must go through muck, the darkness, the loneliness to realize this part of us.

You are a visionary with a message. The director of your own play the producer of your life's greatest work.

You have permission to explore the depths of your calling, to express yourself with as much precision or vague ambiance in your song writing.

There are no rules to express yourself musically, begin now with the end in mind.

Say to yourself, "I am a visionary, director and producer. My greatest life's work is ahead of me and I express it fully within myself. And that means, in learning about myself through challenge, I get true fulfillment."

Some things money cannot buy, you and I both know it.

So what is your fulfillment really worth?

You made a commitment to yourself some time ago. You saw the instrument, you heard a song and it blew you away.

You knew that is what you wanted to do. After some time, you let the instrument sit on the shelf.

You let your voice die down.
