Ok, I’ve got something kinda exciting to share with you…
Over the past couple weeks I’ve been working behind the scenes on something special for the guitar players in here who wanna finally have fun playing songs on guitar instead of living in their head lol. I’ve never done anything quite like this before inside Guitar Gym Pro… …but I’m PUMPED to show you what this NEW Kickstart Challenge is gonna look like. If you’re excited to see what I’ve got planned to help you have more fun playing more guitar in 2026, type “kickstart” below… …then be on the lookout for my post inside the group tomorrow with all the details.

SLTS Progress 1 -2026
I’m playing through the song for the first time without the guitar track. The music video from youtube is a shorter version, with a shorter solo and intro. I need to work on the post-chorus and solo transitions, but I’m feeling more confident each day. Next, I’ll focus on getting a feel for the vocals! https://youtu.be/_c5af4hKcKc?si=Ns1y9TqE01CYNJUk
Adding tools to the tool box
One of the biggest things I’ve been working on lately is understanding how to play country style guitar. I found these two gems on YouTube and worked through almost both of them. Added some really cool tools (guitar licks) to the toolbox. If you like country style guitar playing i recommend starting with the beginner video to start yourself off. The beginner/intermediate video is a lot of info/ techniques that could be off putting at first. The beginner video touches on what style guitar, amp, pedals that help create the country sound. While even teaching you an easy country lick and shows you how to move it around the neck. The beginner/intermediate video specifically focuses on 5 different licks and variations of those licks from beginner to advanced. A lot of info on this one. Plus at the end of the video he teaches a solo applying all of the licks to help you understand how to use them together. Absolutely awesome video but I don’t recommend if you’re just starting out with guitar. It could come off as overwhelming. That also being said I’d still give them both a watch because it’s insightful to the country genre but don’t feel pressured to work through them if you don’t feel ready yet! Just thought I’d share what I was working on today. Keep on strumming!
