Growing Communities Program
The Growing Communities Program is a community-driven initiative designed to build food abundance, practical skills, and ecological awareness across the Lockyer Valley. Through a combination of hands-on workshops, community resilience hubs, school engagement, and household support, the program empowers individuals, families, and communities to grow their own food, save locally adapted seeds, and create productive, regenerative landscapes.
The program integrates education, demonstration, and community connection to support people at all levels, from beginners to experienced growers, helping them develop confidence, share knowledge, and participate in a thriving local food system. By fostering collaboration, leadership, and skill-sharing, Growing Abundance strengthens both community wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
