“You know too much. You know what everyone needs. You’re in that space, but the truth is no one knows what they need, so they *cannot* meet you in that space” -🪿
I don’t know why this hit me so hard today, but he’s objectively right. If you’re operating within the space of knowing what they need and selling them what they need, they will - DEFINITIONALLY - not want to buy that thing (yet).
You *have* to meet them where they are. Sitting near the top of the mountain shouting down that you’ll help anyone with the key last mile will convert *zero* people stuck half way up, just starting out, 3/4 of the way even, 90% of the people can’t hear you and the 10% who can; want help where they are.
Sell them what they want, then give them what they need to get to where they want to go 📊
