✨ Fill Your Cup First ✨
“You can’t pour from an empty cup.”
If you give and give without taking time to refill yourself, eventually there’s nothing left to offer—and sometimes, instead of being a source of support, you can unintentionally become a drain.
Today’s topic is about self-love. We all go through times where we sacrifice our own physical and emotional needs to be there for others. That’s part of being human. But when it goes on too long, you’re left depleted—and that helps no one.
So here’s today’s thought experiment:
👉 If someone were to take you on a date, what would the perfect afternoon look like?
👉 Now, instead of waiting, go take yourself on that date.
For me, that means booking a massage and trying a group fitness class that’s new and different, something that gets me moving in a fresh way. This week, I’m scheduling both.
Remember, doing the same mundane things day after day makes life feel like it passes quickly. Studies show that when you add new experiences and stimuli, your perception of time actually slows down, you create more meaningful memories.
So let’s take care of ourselves first, and then get back to helping humanity in whatever way we can. 💙
Have a wonderful day, everyone.
