Last couple of days have involved the septic tank, this is due to installing a new toilet for guests. The first job was to check the septic system is ‘clean’ and working properly.
As per usual guests don’t read notices regarding sanitary products not going into the septic system. This is the Bain of my life.
So first job and well worth the purchase cost is out with Karcher and the drain pipe cleaning kit, plus the rubber gloves.
I have noticed that the soak away isn’t always ‘flowing’ in the right direction so that had a blast as well. It has now gone on to my jobs list to put in a new inspection hatch at the soak away entrance and possibly extend it with a French drain.
So I now have the sewage system flowing correctly and ready for the toilet installation.
