We discovered the breach when a broker contacted us regarding a pickup that had never been scheduled. Although we immediately notified the affected brokers and have since recovered the email account, the impact has been significant. One broker has declined further business, and an identity alert was placed on our company via Highway. We have completed the necessary security protocols and are currently awaiting Highway’s response to remove the alert, which has delayed the carrier’s return to operations.
