How to spot Double Brokering

Morning Guys! When booking a load, you can cross reference your MC number just to ensure the company is legit. Here's a quick breakdown: 1. Find your load.

2.Copy the MC number

3. Open a new tab and search "FMCSA MC look up"

4.click the first link(https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx)

5.Paste the MC number and cross reference ALL of the company details.

For example if the company on the load board is "ABC Transport Co LLC" , but if you cross reference the MC and it says "ABC Transport Co Inc" that is not the same company and could potentially be a scam. As dispatchers it is important that we pay attention to the small details. Hope that helps!
