How are you using gamification in your community?
This Monday, I joined a call where we talked about how gamers have an advantage in Skool. Skool isn't just a community platform. It is a gamified community platform. That is why it feels like we are playing all day because there are so many game elements baked in. The better we understand these game elements, the better we can engage our communities. As a gamer of over 20 years, I learned a few things about game design. Studying the best education and gamification systems also helped. That is why I want to level the playing field and share what I have learned so we can all leverage game elements to engage our communities. This is what I covered on the call, and you can get out of the video below: - Game Designs of Skool and how you can copy them for your own community - Deep dive into the level system and how you can motivate your members to level up - Rewards that create a stronger sense of community without destroying intrinsic motivations My goal is to make the calls more interactive, so I am including quizzes and some 1:1 speed networking. It is the best way to get to know the members of this community. Add the call to your calendar. Until then, I want to know: How are you using gamification in your community?

What are your core values?
When we get excited or fired up to help people, it’s normally because it aligns with our values. That deep internal place where you are moved to make a difference. Recently, I’ve been moved to build my values around financial stability, peace and healthy love. Most of my life, I invited and created chaos as a trauma response to being rejected. So now I want to help others remove chaos from their lives so that they can thrive and make a life that supports their creativity and brings them money. Values example: When I see, someone overwhelmed with too much tech, and useless ads agencies bogging them down, I want to be like, “hey this can be so much easier.” 😁 What are your core values? And how do they play out when it comes to serving people?

Mariam's October Networking Challenge Week 1
Last week was intense with networking calls! Here's what happened: The Good: - Had an incredible call with @sam who sparked ideas about using affiliate programs to generate more leads in my community - Connected with @David Mason we're both working toward play clients and he just landed his! Now we're collaborating on similar goals - Brilliant conversation with Allan about everything and anything. He recommended "The Book Thief" (death as narrator - how cool is that?) - First ever webinar in my community! - Long-overdue call with @Melvin Zhang discussing systems, building processes, and the reality of having jobs we need (even if we don't want them) - Great call with @Lukas Schmidt on engagement The Challenges: - Had to cancel with @Mark X due to work scheduling chaos - need to reschedule - Got ghosted on a discovery call in my community - Two discovery calls that didn't convert to sales calls I'm not sure either price resistance or they didn't find my offer good enough for price Sometimes the chaos itself is the circumstance that needs to change. I'm working on creating better systems so opportunities don't slip through the cracks. This Week's Intention Goal: Let as many people as possible know what I do and ask for referrals on every single call. Specific Actions: - Be more active on skool - Clear out ALL notifications and messages (no more chaos!) - Ask everyone: "Do you know someone I can help?" or "Can you recommend someone who might help me get better?" - Calls Booked: 2 discovery calls so far, with several team conversations in the pipeline that I'm hoping to convert. And 4 Networking calls If you want to chat, let's do it! Drop me a message - I'm excited to connect. He Who Fights with Monsters I'm listening and absolutely hooked! Currently at the part where Jason is talking with the goddess of knowledge.

Welcome to the Game! (Start Q4 Here)
Here we network to change the world together. Playing the great online game by ourselves is lonely. That is why we are turning it into a multiplayer experience. Instead of asking HOW, we are asking WHO. In this game, we level up by helping each other. Each level is a step on our journey from NPC to Padawan to Master to becoming One with the Force. Check your current level on the Leaderboard. Every quarter, we reintroduce ourselves because this game transforms who we are. Here are the introductions of last quarter (333 members) Start your transformation for this quarter with these 3 Steps 👇 1. Comment on this post, introducing yourself. Hello there! Melvin Zhang ~ October Networking Challenge ~ Week 1
Actually previous week I recorded an all time high when it comes to networking calls as well as job interviews. Monday: I called with two friends and offered them a free coaching consultations, not my ICP but I had my first experience as a life coach 💫 Tuesday: My last Discovery that I booked was with a sibling of one of my good friends. I helped him become more aware of his mental crashes that he experienced. Wednesday: I did a research call with @Mark Santos which I met through Synthesizer, I helped him with gathering data for his offer. Besides all those calls I did 6 job interviews, which were good practice conversations to get me in the flow for networking in general! ====================================================== This week I did two networking calls already: Finally met @Mariam Kipiani after cancelling our meeting twice, we talked about our goals for our communities and life in general. It lasted way to long tho hahah, but I had a blast 😁 Mariam is ahead of me and helps people lose weight in 90 days! She combines her own experience as an MD and the 12 steps program so people can enjoy there foods and avoid getting overweight 🥘 Hopped on a call with @Asha Hope not expecting he would give me amazing value by taking me through his own program and also giving me a taste of his skills, very grateful! 🤩 Asha is ahead of me and helps male entrepreneurs with Peak performance, he does this through hypnosis but a coaching program based on his own experience as a men 🧔‍♂️ ====================================================== Looking ahead for this week and next week: - Call with @Lukas Schmidt is tommorrow which I totally did not forget! 🤣 - Planned a call with @Adipto through Synthesizer ====================================================== Action steps for this week: -Commenting, DM'ing and booking calls! ======================================================
