Well… here it is.
I pushed what I thought was a “big improvement” to the exit logic — and the backtest immediately reminded me that the market doesn’t care about my feelings.
The good news?
The risk engine behaved like a champ.
Even with exits acting like a confused intern, the drawdown stayed controlled and the system didn’t implode.
The filters did their job too:
Blocked bad environments, avoided junk conditions, and kept the bot from overtrading.
The only thing that fell apart?
The exit logic. The whole thing. Completely.
This is why we build in public.
