It’s weird being “famous” for the worst parts of your life.

I was trafficked into the sex industry, when I was 17 years old. While being trafficked, I studied the laws and business; a fellow sex worker saw my gift and she helped me escape.

By 1997, her and I had built a very profitable escort service, earning over $1 million before my 20th birthday!

In a photo shoot, I saw the Internet and a digital camera for the first time. 🤯 We made our first money on the Internet that same month! 🤑🤑🤑

She retired and moved out of state, and I got pregnant by Boy Toy #4. My daughter saved my life and my conversation to christianity came soon after. I was overcome with trauma and trying to be better for my daughter.

Healing became my obsession, business was my game!

Reid and I married, after only 7 months, in March 2004. Reid is a triple Pisces and I am a Gemini, Gemini, Virgo. We could best be described as wanderers, seekers… doing what we want, mostly… when we want, always… and jingling all the way!

We have life schooled for the last 15-ish years and have four humans at home for as long as they would like! Shout out to our peeps!!!

Back in 2009, I heard about trafficking for the first time and went public with my story. We had just launched a couponing business, and selling the course online. Wanna see a f’ing hysterical music video?!?! Yes, that’s Reid singing and I’m… well, ME!!!

We had a non-profit and consulting agency for about four years. The deeper we went, the more exploitation we saw. I turned down big offers for publishing my book and for TV shows built on my family‘s life.

Once you’ve been exploited, you don’t want to jump in that same bucket of shit again. Funding collapsed and we walked away with nothing but great stories and our lives.

If you want to do some googling, that chronicles my rise and fall in Christianity try, “Jessica Richardson trafficking,” or “Jes Richardson trafficking.”

I’ve been on over a 1000 stages, been in multiple documentaries, raised millions of dollars, and done countless media interviews and podcasts.

At our bottom in 2014, our youngest son became paralyzed and we were told he wouldn’t live.

Fuck that!! We doubled down, built a team and saved his life. He is currently looking like a 6’3” gym bro!

Then came Hurricane Harvey in 2017, we lived in tents for 18 months after losing everything for the third time. How do we always end up on the news?!?!

By 2020, we made our way to Las Vegas for our son’s health and greater opportunity. We started relationship coaching, we self published my book and sold thousands of copies!

Helping other people with their marriages, caused ours started to fall apart. Our clients were mirrors for us and it was ugly! I blew up our life and left with the kids.

I started a program called Storytelling for Profit. Books were published, businesses grew, and lots of us went viral! It was tons of fun, but I was right in the middle of my human design exploration.

Reid always stayed close. He remained our neighbor, living just a two minute walk away. During the 3 to 4 years of our separation, he built his first 6-figure business using his creative artistry in woodworking.

Reid walked with me through every twist and turn, I thought he was healing with me, his story is just a profound as mine. Coming from a highly religious, patriarchal cult he was trained to uphold deep misogyny.

My strength triggered his bitterness. After 19 years of marriage, our divorce was finalized. Human Design literally saved our family and is continuing to help us break generational cycles.

We could finally SEE his issues vs my issues. His gifts vs my gifts. Everything became clear! I could SEE how to love our children as individuals! Everything changed! We are still on a journey, but with much more love and grace.

We now co-habitat, starting functional human design is a family. We are far from perfect and definitely not normal, but we love deeply and are committed to the journey.

I found faith locked in the trunk of a car. It wasn’t a faith of religion or control.

I found faith, knowing I was exactly where I needed to be, and the universe would delight me with solutions beyond my wildest dreams!

My faith has carried me for 29 years, through truly unbearable circumstances and now my family as well. We are here to show the world what is possible for each one of us.

When you choose to live in the uniqueness of you, regardless of your design, you become a masterpiece of beauty and delight. Your soul is quenched and your spirit rises!
