Being Homeless with my Mother was part of my journey to my here and now. Which taught me many valuable lessons. Because of my growth in understanding and becoming aware that everything always happens for the greater good, I am Grateful for it all..
This is pretty deep for me to share. DEEP BREATH CARLA... Here Goes...
At one time in my life my Mother and I were homeless. And literally I sang for our supper. However, through that time there would appear Angel after Angel.. Miracle after Miracle...
One night a woman walked up to my mother and I after I sang for her, and asked. "Are you hungry enough to walk five miles for a sandwich? Because you see I lost almost all of my money gambling, and I only have enough left to take the bus. So if you would be willing to walk to my house, I will make you a sandwich." I was so hungry, so immediately I said yes without hesitation. So, my mother and I walked five miles on our own in the dark to that gracious woman's house for a sandwich. Which she lovingly made for us, and that my mother and I gratefully split between us.. She was one of those Angels. And, let me tell you, that half of a sandwich tasted like Heaven.
Sometimes, we have to make a little effort to make it to the "Promise Land".. Or in my case to a half of a sandwich...:-)
Pondering on what thoughts and feelings that came to me from the class today.
I have always Loved the word Bridge. For me it means Connection with another. A Meeting in the middle. It is a powerful visualization for me when I imagine meeting someone "in Love" on a brilliantly, sunlit bridge. Thus creating many possibilities for understanding another. Standing on neutral ground. Facing another with peace in mind through understanding.
Sharing my story, is my heart creating a bridge to yours. Simple, and yet not all the time it is easy. Right? It was hard enough living through it the first time.
How brave and courageous you have all been. However, The more One shares their story the more we are all able to open and share more of our light too. By the way I have been reading all of your stories. Thank you for sharing your truth. Your light is bright. I feel it so strong.
I LOVE your humor Mat. You are awesome!
Arron you and Victor compliment each other brilliantly!
I can understand why you call yourselves, "The Three Amigos"..:-)
I am grateful for Everything... And it is all God all the time.
