Before I ever stepped into culinary school, I learned the most important lessons in my mother’s kitchen.
My mother, Nilda, had a gift. On Sundays, she would cook with so much love that the aromas would travel through the neighborhood, and before long, people would find their way to her kitchen. Her food did more than feed people. It brought them together. It created memories, conversations, comfort, and family.
I watched her closely. I learned everything I could. The flavors, the patience, the seasoning, the love behind every dish. Years later, after attending culinary school, I took those lessons and transformed her recipes into something more than just food.
From Nilda’s Kitchen is an experience. It is a way to reconnect with culture, family, tradition, and the kind of cooking that makes people feel at home.
Now I want to share that experience with you.
