Hey everyone ๐๐
I wanted to make a quick intro so you know who is behind this group.
Most people here will know me as Dispatch Coach Michael, but my real name is Marjan Petrasku.
Iโve been in truck dispatch for around 9 years, working in the U.S. trucking market. Iโm currently a full-time dispatcher for an Illinois-based carrier, dispatching 3 trucks โ all 53โ dry vans.
Dry van is my main focus, but over the years, Iโve also worked with box trucks, hot shots, and flatbeds, so Iโve seen different sides of the dispatch business.
I use DAT Load Board regularly and have also used Truckstop. But to me, dispatch is not just about clicking around on a load board. The real skill is knowing how to think.
That means understanding:
๐ Which loads are actually worth it
๐ How to think about RPM and all miles
๐ Which lanes make sense, and which ones create problems
๐ How to talk to brokers without sounding lost
๐ง How to make decisions under pressure
๐ How timing, pickup, delivery, and driver hours affect the load
๐ฌ How to communicate clearly with drivers
โ ๏ธ How to avoid mistakes that cost money
Iโve also trained 70+ students, and one thing Iโve learned is this:
Most people donโt struggle because they are lazy. They struggle because dispatch is usually explained in a confusing way, or they only see theory without seeing how real decisions are made.
Thatโs one of the main reasons I started teaching dispatch.
I wanted to show people the real side of the work โ not just slides, not just definitions, not just โclick here, click there,โ but the actual thinking process behind dispatching.
Inside my live sessions, I want you to see how dispatch works in real life: how I look at loads, what I pay attention to, what I avoid, how I think through options, and why certain decisions matter.
Iโm confident in what I teach because this is not something I only talk about. This is what I actually do.
Glad to have you here.
See you in the next live session ๐๐
