The Camera Isn’t Your Enemy. Your Inner Critic Is
I stopped creating content about what I do…
…and started creating content about what my clients feel.
Today I watched myself on a video and immediately started picking myself apart.
I saw every wrinkle. Every angle. Every flaw.
For a minute, I wanted to quit.
Then I realized something.
This is exactly how almost every person who contacts me feels before a photo session.
“I hate being on camera.”“I’m not photogenic.”“I look old.”“I never like pictures of myself.”
I’ve spent 30 years helping people see themselves differently, and today I needed that same reminder.
A great portrait isn’t about being perfect . It’s about feeling seen . It’s about confidence . Its about capturing the person everyone else already sees.
So if you’ve ever avoided the camera because you’re afraid of what you’ll see…
I get it.
And that’s exactly why I do what I do.
The first two images are split-second screenshots from a live video. The last image is what happens when lighting, direction, expression, and 30 years of experience come together.
