📸 I Learned to Barter in the 80s — Let’s Make a Trade
Long before apps, invoices, and online payments, we traded value — and sometimes the deals were unforgettable.
I’ve always believed in the power of bartering.
I learned it early, back in the 1980s, watching my mother make one of the most unforgettable trades I’ve ever seen. She traded a Bradley GT for a swimming pool. No contracts, no complicated paperwork — just two people who saw value in what the other had to offer.
That moment stayed with me.
It taught me that business isn’t always about money. Sometimes it’s about creativity, relationships, and finding a way to help each other grow.
Today, I’m bringing that same spirit into our community.
I’m a professional photographer with over 30 years of experience, and I’d love to offer professional headshots in exchange for something that helps build visibility, skills, and connection.
Here are a few things I’d be happy to trade for:
* A 24-hour pin post in your community
* Lessons or coaching (marketing, tech, AI, social media, or business growth)
* Visibility opportunities or features
* Graphic design or branding support
* Podcast or interview invitations
* Community collaborations
* Other creative ideas — I’m open
Bartering is collaboration.
Bartering is resourcefulness.
Bartering is community.
And sometimes, the best opportunities start with a simple trade.
Would you be open to a barter?
