Embracing & Embarrasment
This has been one of my struggles this week and I wanted to share it. I’ve been sitting with the difference between embracing and embarrassing. Two words that feel worlds apart but share a lot of meaning.
Resilience comes from resil, meaning to bounce back, to persist, to keep going. But embrace comes from embra, meaning to take in, hold, accept.
Resilience isn’t just about pushing through, it’s about allowing ourselves to embrace the lessons, the challenges, and the growth that comes with them. Resistance keeps us stuck. Embracing moves us forward.
I’m learning to discover Embra. To take in what’s happening, hold it, and see what it has to teach me instead of pushing it away. Not just surviving but growing because of it.
