The Self-Audit Challenge: 5 Questions Every Creator Should Answer
Being part of this community and hearing your struggles and successes really got me thinking. It inspired me to ask myself some genuinely tough questions about my own work ethic, and I wanted to share what I discovered. I also made sure to keep this simple—no dramatic emojis, just good old-fashioned plain text.
These questions really got me thinking:
  • Do I consistently deliver projects on time, or do I have a list of ready excuses?
  • How much of my time goes to revenue-generating work versus "preparing to prepare"?
  • What's that one tough decision I keep pushing aside?
  • Which distractions (social media, notifications, busywork) keep pulling me away from my goals?
  • When feedback comes my way, do I actually use it to improve?
My key insight?
I was prioritising productivity over income-producing actions. Being busy isn't the same as making progress.
Here's how I'm changing that:
My Action Plan:
  • Set aside 2 focused hours daily for revenue-driving tasks
  • Stop spending time perfecting things that don't directly grow the business
  • Review each Friday to identify what truly made an impact and adjust accordingly
How about you!
  • What challenges are you facing as a creator?
  • Which honest questions would you ask yourself about your progress?
  • What insights have you gained, and how are you addressing them?
