So I sent off a final mix / master to a client today. They immediately downloaded, said they absolutely loved it, then said they were going to send it through an EQ to "make it slam a bit" by taking out some bass & "scooping" it a little. I offered to make the changes myself in the mix& re-master it for them. They said " no thanks, these are just tiny changes". I told them this master was exactly what they had wanted based off of reference tracks & my Studio policy is to fix it for them. They are now upset that I didn't readily agree to them EQing it themselves & I'm quite frankly not sure what to do.
I don't really want my Studio's name on a track someone else has "fixed" up without my hearing it.
This has never happened to me before - anyone have some thoughts or advice here?
