Stop replacing parts
💧 Daily FixMyIrrigation Tip
Stop Replacing Parts. Start Diagnosing.
One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make is replacing sprinkler heads when the real problem is somewhere else.
If all the heads on one zone are acting up, the issue usually isn't the heads—it's something affecting the entire zone.
Before buying any parts, ask yourself:
✅ Is the controller sending power to the valve?
✅ Is the solenoid opening properly?
✅ Is the valve fully opening?
✅ Do you have enough water pressure and flow?
✅ Is there a leak in the pipe before the heads?
A five-minute diagnosis can save hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs.
Today's Challenge:
Go outside and run one irrigation zone. Watch it from start to finish. Does every head pop up evenly? Are there dry spots? Any puddles? Share a photo or describe what you see below, and let's diagnose it together.
Remember our mission at FixMyIrrigation.com:
Don't throw parts at the problem. Diagnose it first.
