💧 Pro Tip of the Day: Don't Replace the Solenoid First
One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make is replacing parts before they know what's actually wrong.
If one irrigation zone won't turn on, don't automatically assume the solenoid has failed.
Instead, check these in order:
✅ Is the controller sending 24VAC to that zone? ✅ Is the common wire intact? ✅ Does the valve have water pressure? ✅ Is the diaphragm clogged with dirt or debris? ✅ Is the valve stuck from sand, roots, or mineral buildup?
A five-minute diagnosis can save you from spending money on parts you didn't need.
Remember: Diagnose first. Repair second.
💬 Question for the community: Have you ever replaced a sprinkler part only to discover it wasn't the problem? What was the real fix?
Every mistake is a learning opportunity—and your experience could save someone else hours of frustration.
