Today a mourning dove sat quietly on the ledge outside my kitchen window.
I looked at it and softly asked, “Are you here for my Mom?”
The dove hoo’ed.
Then I asked, “Are you telling me you are okay?”
Again, it hoo’ed.
I thanked my mother for finding a way to get my attention, and the dove flew away.
Some people will call it coincidence.
Others will understand exactly why a moment like this touches the soul so deeply.
My mother loved me purely. And before she passed, she told me she would send me a message.
Today, my heart received peace.
As a believer in Jesus Christ, I do not believe death is the end. I believe what He said:
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.’”
— John 11:25
And again:
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.”
— Revelation 21:4
Today reminded me that love does not disappear.
The body may rest, but love remains.
And in Christ, we have the promise of life everlasting.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
— Matthew 5:4
Feed your soul today with peace, gratitude, and the quiet reminders that God knows how to reach us exactly when we need it most.
