The "Ghost" Company
A local cleaning firm thought they were in the final round for a $100k contract. Then the CO did a quick search. Their CAGE code was inactive and their UEI wasn’t linked to the right NAICS code. Just like that, they were a "ghost" in the system. I’m deep in the backend right now for a client, scrubbing their SAM profile to make them "visible" again. You can have the best cleaning crew in the state, but if your digital paperwork is a mess, the government legally cannot pay you.
