🌿 Michal - Day 12: A Barren Ending
đź“– Read: 2 Samuel 6:23
“And Michal, daughter of Saul, had no child to the day of her death.”
Michal’s story ends quietly and sadly.
After her confrontation with David, Scripture tells us she had no children. It’s more than a physical statement — it’s a reflection of what bitterness had done to her heart.
Michal’s life began with love and promise, but pride and resentment took root where faith and joy once were.
Her story reminds us that bitterness doesn’t just steal our peace; it also robs us of fruitfulness — spiritually, emotionally, and sometimes even relationally.
When we hold on to offense, we block the blessings God wants to grow in us. But when we let Him heal the hurt, forgiveness makes room for new life.
👉 Bitterness makes the heart barren. Forgiveness brings it back to life.
âť“ Reflection Question:
Is there an area of my life that feels “barren” because I’ve held on to hurt or bitterness? What would it look like to release it to God today?
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, show me where bitterness has taken root in my heart. Help me to forgive freely, as You’ve forgiven me. Restore my joy and make my spirit fruitful again. Amen.
đź’¬ Your Turn:
Share how forgiveness or letting go has helped you find peace and new growth in your life.
