Lesson 3: Turn On Professional Mode and Learn Your Creator Dashboard

If you want to grow on Facebook, Professional Mode is one of the best free tools you can use. It gives you access to creator features, insights, and—if you become eligible—monetization opportunities.
Let's get it set up!

Step 1: Open Your Facebook Profile
1. Open the Facebook app.
2. Tap your profile picture to go to your profile page.

Step 2: Turn On Professional Mode
1. On your profile, tap the three dots (•••) below your name.
2. Tap Turn on Professional Mode.
3. Read the information Facebook provides.
4. Tap Continue and follow the prompts.
Congratulations! Your profile is now set up as a creator profile.

Step 3: Find the Professional Dashboard
Once Professional Mode is turned on:
1. Return to your profile.
2. Look for Professional Dashboard.
3. Tap it to open your creator tools.
This dashboard is where you'll track your progress and access helpful features.

Step 4: Explore Your Dashboard
Take a few minutes to look around. You'll find tools such as:
- Insights – See how your posts, photos, and videos are performing.
- Audience – Learn more about the people following you.
- Content Tools – Manage your posts and Reels.
- Monetization – Check whether you're eligible for ways to earn money.
- Achievements or Recommendations – Facebook may suggest ways to improve your account.
Don't worry if every feature isn't available yet. Some tools unlock as your account grows.

Step 5: Check Your Follower Settings
Followers are important if you want to build an audience.
To make sure people can follow you:
1. Open Settings & Privacy.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Find Followers and Public Content.
4. Set Who Can Follow Me to Public.
Now people can follow your content without sending you a friend request.

Step 6: Review Your Privacy Settings
Take a few minutes to review your privacy options.
Decide:
- Who can see your personal information.
- Who can comment on public posts.
- Who can send you friend requests.
- What information you'd like to keep private.
You can build a public audience while still protecting your personal information.

Step 7: Learn About Insights
Insights help you understand what your audience enjoys.
Pay attention to:
- Which posts get the most likes.
- Which posts get the most comments.
- Which posts get shared the most.
- How many new followers you gain.
The more you understand your audience, the easier it becomes to create content they'll enjoy.

Step 8: Visit Your Dashboard Regularly
Try checking your Professional Dashboard a few times each week.
Ask yourself:
- Which posts performed the best?
- What topics got people talking?
- What can I create more of?
Growing on Facebook is about learning what works and doing more of it.
