Reading the Bible
In the last year or so, I've read the full Bible and I found the experience to be really important. It gave me a perspective on life and Jesus that I never would have fully understood from any other sources. That being said, it's an intimidating task and parts of the Bible are very confusing. Something I would recommend highly is a daily podcast called Chapter by Chapter. It is hosted by Tim Dilena, who is pastor at Times Square Church in New York City. The idea is you read a chapter, starting with Genesis 1:1, then listen to the podcast on that chapter for clarify and understanding. The podcast is short, only about 7 minutes long each day. The podcast started on January 1st of this year, so if you haven't started it you are a bit behind, but that's ok you can easily catch up. Pastor Dilena is wonderful and I've benefited greatly from his wisdom. I listen on Spotify, but you can also find it on YouTube: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeDZGIhpRREeodj4SQGFEo5f4WSGBKgkt&si=A-_my0QoscUmkM5p
