🚕🚌 Speaking Challenge: At the Doctor! 🩺
You’re on your way to the doctor — first by bus or taxi, then at the clinic. Practice the situation with your partner:
Role Play Ideas (use at least 2 phrasal verbs):
- Asking the driver if this bus/taxi goes near the hospital.(“Could you point out where I should get off?”)
- Telling the doctor how you’re feeling and asking for advice.(“I need to figure out why this pain keeps coming back.”)
- Asking what you should do after the visit.(“Can you go over the instructions one more time so I don’t mess it up?”)
Exciting Follow-up Questions:
- Imagine you get on the wrong bus on the way to the hospital — what would you do to sort it out?
- If the taxi driver suddenly took a longer route, how would you deal with it?
- What’s the funniest or strangest experience you’ve had in a taxi or bus?
- If the doctor gave you advice you didn’t understand, how would you find out more?
