Hey everyone! 👋🏼
This week’s writing topic is all about something we all do — eating out!
But it’s more than just food 🍕🍲
It’s about communication, confidence, culture, and daily English skills you can actually use 💬✨
We’re putting you in the restaurant — and asking you to imagine how you’d speak, ask, answer, and interact in real situations 🍽️🗣
You’ll reflect, describe, and practice English you’d use when you’re:
– Ordering food
– Asking for details
– Making special requests
– Giving feedback
– Handling problems (yes… like wrong orders or cold food!) 😅
🎯 Your mission:
Choose and answer as many questions as you like — in one paragraph or more.
Be creative, be real, and imagine yourself in the moment.
💭 Writing Prompts & Reflection Questions:
- Describe your favorite restaurant experience. Where were you? What did you order?
- How do you usually order food in English? What phrases do you feel comfortable using?
- What do you usually say if you don’t understand something on the menu?
- Have you ever had a problem in a restaurant (cold food, wrong order, etc.)? How did you react?
- Imagine you want your meal without something (e.g. onions). What would you say politely?

- How do you ask about allergies or ingredients if you’re not sure what’s in the food?
- What’s your favorite way to compliment the food or the service?
- How would you describe your favorite dish in English to a friend?
- Do you prefer eating in or taking your food to go? Why?
- What’s one sentence you’ve heard in a restaurant that you want to learn to use better?
