Renewing Gas Tariff
Hi Gemma, hopefully I'm doing this right. Our EDF Gas tariff is due for renewal and my understanding of everything I've read is that a tracker tariff is the best one to choose? We currently have a fixed year tariff because we didn't understand what we were doing when we swapped accounts over from being in my brother's name last January. I can see the unit cost and standing charge are lower for their Simply Tracker tariff. Although we have been switched to smart meters the installation wasn't completed correctly but they have said they will reduce our monthly direct debit due to our previous meter readings by around £10 per month from 1 February 2026 but that's when the tariff also needs to be renewed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am attaching screenshots of the tariffs I've looked at in our EDF app. Cheers, Caz Hamilton
