I’m deeply comforted by knowing that God passionately pursues the ones who have wandered away. When I was in Ecuador, He reminded me of that truth in a powerful way. I met a young woman weighed down by depression, and as I prayed for her, I could feel the Father’s heart reaching for her. I placed a small ring with the verse “I can do all things through Christ” on her finger and told her it was a gift from God—a reminder that He hadn’t forgotten her. Her whole countenance changed in that moment.
That experience strengthened my faith that God knows exactly where our lost loved ones are. He never stops pursuing them with His love. Just as He left the ninety-nine to find the one, He’s still searching for the ones you and I have been praying for—and He knows how to reach them in ways we can’t.
Question to Ponder: Can you trust that God is already at work pursuing the one you’ve been praying for, and will you thank Him in advance for bringing them home?
