Many of you have been following Snow’s story from the Great Lakes Bald Eagle Cam.
Just days ago, Snow’s world changed when the nest collapsed beneath him. At only 52 days old, he was still weeks away from fledging and not ready for a fall from that height. The collapse left Snow with fractures in both wings, and many feared the worst.
Thankfully, Snow was rescued quickly and transported to North Sky Raptor Sanctuary for treatment and rehabilitation.
The latest update brings some encouraging news. Snow is standing, eating well, and has begun physical therapy. Today, caregivers reported that Snow was even chattering during feeding time. For a young eagle recovering from serious injuries, that is a wonderful sign.
Snow has also reached an important milestone with his first fracture alignment check as his rehabilitation team monitors how the wings are healing.
It is still too early to know whether Snow will be able to return to the wild, but right now he is fighting hard and receiving excellent care every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who has been keeping Snow, Harriet, Harry, and the rehabilitation team in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️
