Marriage Reality
Sometimes, marriage isn’t what you expected.
Not bad… just different.
What no one really tells you is that love also comes with quiet battles:
• the days you feel unseen,
• the nights you sleep back-to-back,
• the arguments that start from “nothing,”
• the moments you wonder if you’re growing together or growing apart.
For a long time, I kept everything inside.
I thought speaking up meant I was too emotional, and needing reassurance meant I was insecure.
But the truth is I was hurting quietly.
It reached a point where I started asking myself,
“Is this what marriage is supposed to feel like?”
Then one day, instead of exploding or walking away, I did something I wasn’t used to doing.
I talked.
Not with anger.
Not with blame.
Just honesty raw, shaky honesty.
That conversation changed everything. We are happier now than we have ever been.
I learned that:
• my partner isn’t a mind reader,
• silence doesn’t create peace,
• vulnerability isn’t weakness,
• and sometimes, you’re both fighting the same battle just from different sides.
Marriage isn’t perfect.
Life isn’t a straight line.
Healing isn’t instant.
But choosing each other every day especially on the hard days that’s where the real beauty is.
If you’re in a tough season, know this:
you’re not alone. It doesn’t make you weak.
And it doesn’t mean it’s over.
Sometimes, it simply means it’s time to talk, listen, and grow again. ❤️
